01 / Our Story

Han & Wil, and a passion project.

We're Han & Wil, the wife and husband team who left our corporate and healthcare jobs to dive head first into WAIRUA. Our space is an extension of us, our heritages of Aotearoa New Zealand and Malaysia, proudly BIPOC-owned.

WAIRUA takes its cues from the quaint, modern coffee shops of Australasia, brought here to Lekwungen territory. We hope that when you step into our cosy shop, you'll take a moment for yourself, over quality coffee, matcha and something sweet from the case.
